This is Nikki’s second marriage and she has been hurt before, so her committing to Patrick is a testament to how strongly she believes in her relationship with him.
“He's very, very hard working,” she said. “Very loving.”
Not only did Patrick have to earn Nikki’s trust, he had to accept and love her daughter.
“I think it's definitely better now,” Nikki said. “I think she sees what a loving household looks like … We both moved into his house, so it was a lot of big adjustments, which he handled pretty well.”
She is originally from Bethlehem in Pennsylvania and he is from Colonia in New Jersey, but they are currently living in Alpha, a small incorporated community in Warren County.
After the ceremony at the courthouse, the couple and their parents enjoyed lunch at Mountain View Chalet in Asbury.
“We kind of acclimated to the area,” Nikki said. “So, it's like kind of a new beginning for all of us, essentially. Which is nice.”
“It was like the intimate setting that we wanted," Nikki said about her wedding day and photos. "I'm very big on capturing the moment."
