Valerie is from Chicago and he is from the Philadelphia and South Jersey area, so they decided to invite her family to join them on the beach in Ocean City near where he grew up for the wedding ceremony.
“A beach that I know well,” Timothy said. “I could not have picked a better way for all this to come together today.”
For their reception, the party moved to Josie Kelly’s Public House in Somers Point.
When we asked Timothy to reflect on the meaning of love, he expressed gratitude for having found his person in Valerie, though he found her later in his life. He believes everybody can find their soulmate out in the world.
“It just takes time sometimes to find it,” he said. “I’m so glad I waited.”
They met as coworkers five years ago and quickly hit it off. Like all couples, they experienced bumps along the road, but Valerie straightened Timothy out and the relationship blossomed.
“She’s the boss,” he said. “An absolute blessing to have as a guide with me in life.”
